L ———— OMAHA DAILY BEE- TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2, 1884, A DISGRACEFUL WIFE, She Deserts Her Husband's Bed and Takes Another Man, Hall called at Tue Bex urday morning and poured into r's ear the story of his griefs which Iie desires made public. He says that ou the 1st day of August, 1883, in the town of Rich Hill, Mo, he married a sylph-like dining room girl who weigh- ed, when in fighting condition, 185 pounds, They came to this city and went to work for Mr, C. F. Willlams, Hall work- ing at grading and his wife cooking for Mr. Williams' family. All went merry a8 a marriage bill until about the 4th day of last Jaly, when Mrs. Hall formed a habit of drinking liquor and raised so much racket that she was obliged to leave Mr. Williams’ house and they went to live down on the bottoms. Hall had suspected that his wife was not as true to him as a strictly pure and virtuous woman should be and kept a watch upon her movements, On Thursday he was rud- denly called home from his work and found in the bed which Hall alone should occupy with Mrs. Hall, ono Willtam Conners, Hall drove Conners from the house and tried to argue with his way- ward wife that such things were highly improper and that sho as a married woman should not _ailow any man other than her husband such privileges, but she said she would do as she pleased about such things. Friday she left the house and went on a drunk with Connors and did not return home sgain until 2 o’clock Saturday morning. She lef% after hreakfast Saturday morning and indulged in another spree. Hall says that she at ono time took a large dose of morphine and nearly killed her- self. He still asserts that he loves her Iceston fice S a repor dearly, and if she will only go with him, he will move away and together they will begin life anow. 1£ she don’t brace up and Connors con- tinues to fool around, there is liable to bo a row in the camp, and don’tyou for- t it. | ——— PERSONAL, Harris returned Sunday, from Chica- of Wymore, iseat the Metropol- M. B, HUBERMANN Cor, 15th ana Dou 22026 B Yesterday's Gar About 150 persons witnessed the third game between the Union Pacifics and Keokuks yesterday afternoon. The contest was a simple repetition of the two former ones, and was almost wholly dovoid of interast until the close of the cighth innings when the score stood soven to seven, The visiting team showed more vim at this point than was manifested by it at any time before in any of the games, The innings resulted, however, in the visitors being shut out, the Union Pacifics crossing home plate, The interest of the game centred in Fowler, the colored member of the Keo- kuks, who filled the pitcher's box, He proved a puzzler for a couple of innings, but toward the close of the game he was batted quite freely. jelow is the score by innings: 1284506789 [Union Pacific W 0082002070 Keokuks 00202008 —— Just received elegantline Fall & Winter Woolens, 1.
