Machinery has already been purchased to manufacture a suflicient amount of brick to build what houses may be needed by the company, the erection of smokestacks, engine seating, otc. A fifty horse-power engine has been pur- chased and will be placed in position #s s00n as possible. Tho men having the thing in charge are active and energetic and will push the work with all poseible rapidity. Mr. Higginbottom will act as manager and Mr. Schaller as secrotary. The fact of their being suflicient clay of this kind in this locality for the manu.- facture of pottery was nover thought of until suggested by Tue Dk, but when one locks at the vast amount of sewer pipes, brick, tilo and crockery usod in thia city alone, the importance of such a manufactory can readily bo seen.
