However, there come large additions to the advance guard of those interested in the outcome of the national convention, but who form nopart of its working body. Their pres- euce, however, has imparted groat relief in the preliminary skirmishivg, and for the first time the hotels are taking on the air of activity shown by them for a week previous to the convention of four years ago. Headquarters were open this morning for Arthur and Blaine forces, and those of Logan, and have been in existence forsome days. The remainder of the Towa delegation will arrive to-morrow, at which time the California delegation will also put in an appearance. The organizition of the state delegation will begin to-morrow afternoun in care of those which have full representation in the city. The weather, which has been cold and raw for the past three days, grew warmer to-day, and if the present temperature is maintained it will prove profitable for convention purposes. There were additional arrivals this afternoon and among more prominent were Galusha A, Grow, of Pennsylvania, mentioned aschairman of the couvention. Congressman T.
