Ofticer Green and a Colored Prostitute Indulge in a Lively Set-to, Alively row took place about one o'clock yesterday morning at the corner of Eleventh street and Cap- itol avenue. Two colored prostitutes, Nell Austinand Delia Green, were out ' for the purpose of painting the whole town red. They had kicked in the door of another woman of the town and, as she said; hed threatened her life. They were met at the above nam- ed place and the officers asked them where they were going. They refused to tell but insisted on going their way. They were placed under arrest, O'Boyle taking the Austin woman and Green the Green woman. Just as Green started to take hold of the woman she stepped back and pulled off her slipper and attempted to strike him with it. She tought like an enraged tig- ress Green dieliking to strike her, satis- fied himself by warding off the blows for a time but finally made a rush for her and she struck him upon the head with the heel of the slipper, cutting quite a gash, from which the blood flowed freely. By this time another officer arrived and the woman was dragged bodily to jail. Yesterday afternoon one was fined $10 and costs, and the other $20 and costs, — Gamblers Under Bonds.
