OMAHA DAILY BER=TUESDAY APRIL 15, 1684, Kemmerling jumped out from behind a telephone pole and dealt him a hard blow in the face with a blunt instument of some kind, inflicting & painful wound. A warrant has been issued for Kemmer- ling's arrest. On Sunday morning about 12:30 two men entered the European hotel, on Ninth street, and ordered two dozen fried oysters, Tha bivalves were pre- pared as ordered, and the two men dis- posed of them. After finishing their meal, one of the fellows told the proprie- tor, Lieon Kopald, that they had nomoney, but would give him an order and he could get his money Monday. This would not answer Kopald, however, and he took one of the fellow's hats as security. At this juncture the fellow drew a revolver from his ocket, and placing it under Kopald's noso threatened to shoot him. opald was telling Judge Beneke about the proceeding yesterday and he smd ‘‘when dot fellow put dot revolver under my nose I vas disgust- ed und dropped the hat.” That kind of proceeding will disgust almost any man, especially if he can soe that the revolver is loaded. One of the fellows was arrest- ed and will have a hearing to-day. OMAHA MARKET HOUSE. The Matter Considercd by the Board of Trade Last Evening, Henry Pick, Charles Nagel, J. G. W Thomas, T. The minutes of the last meeting were read and ap- proved. The report of the market house com- mittee was then taken up and read by President of the Board Falconer. The report was a written one of some length, stating the committeo examined all sites on Dodge street and Capitol avenue, be- tween Fifteenth and Ninth streets, It had examined all favorable locations, and found upon looking up* the records that no sufficient amount of ground belonged to one person as a place for the market house.
