It was officially announced that the Oregon Transportation company had sold 50,000 shares of Northern Pacific common, 30,000 proferred, and 10,000 Oregon Navigation to & syndicate composed of Gould, Sage, Field, Drexel, Morgan and others. Tho atock, it, is understood, is not to be sold for a year, The syndicate is pledged to furnish the company with whatever additional furda it may need at 6 per cent per annum. The annonncement was followed by a remarkable rixe of thirty-two points in Oregon Navigation, which s«ld up to 119 cush and 112 regular. Oregon improve- ment advanced from 447 to 51; Oregon Trm portation from 20} to 23; Northern Pa from 21¢ to 23 and preforred from 41 to 48 The dealings were attended with great excite- ment, Tho general market opened at = frac- tional decline on statements that railroad troubles at the west had not been settled, as gonerally supposed.
