The Election in the City an Unnsnally Tame Afair, But Handsome Majorities are Rolled Up for Some of the Best Men, A Fow Offices 8till in Doubt, The olection cf Tuesday was, so far as heard from, a quiet one throughout the city and county. The total vote polled in the county is a light one as will be from the returns, a great many voters not being registered and many not oven going to the polls to have their votes sworn in. The returns aro pretty full thus far as compared with those made within the same space of time last year. 8o far as can be figured up from the count as reported, Savage will go out of the county with a large majority. The contest betwoen Heins and Ijams is close and the friends of both claim their election. Miller is probably elected sheriff, with Rush for treasurer, Leavitt clork, Chadwick county judge, Corliss commissioner, Kent coroner and Smith surveyor. Neville and Wakeley of course had no opposition.
