In the meleo a revolver fell to the sidewalk, though it is not claimed that any one attempted to uso it. Captain Haight attempted to part the two men, and received a severe row from Mr. Goulden, though it is not claimed that the blow was intended for him. Mr. Whittlesey did not defend himself with his fists, and the two were soon parted, In the afternoon Mr. Goulden appear- ed before Justice Abbott and complained against himse1f, plead guilty and was fined five dollars and costs, Intormation was later filed ,before Judge Aylesworth charging Goulden with carrying concealed weapons, to which charge he also plead guilty, and was fined $5 and costs, He was also charged with disturbing the poace, but claimed that the charge was justly included in the one for assault, for which he had already paid a This question was taken under advisement by the city attorney. P, R. R.
