Lee Delong the Name of This Latest Sulcide—A Strange Ending of Life, Yostorday afternoon a young man named C. L. DeLong, better known by his frionds at Lee DeLong, killed himself by a shot from his revolver, near Broad- way and Seventh street. The report of the shooting caused a crowd to gather about the prostrate and bloody form of the young man, lying on the ground at the rear door of the little building which ith street, known as the '8 on S rench laundry. For soveral days past there have been reports that the Ogden house was about to change hands. 1t is now arranged that the change shall take place to-day, the new host, Mr. B, Silloway, of Cedar Ra- pids, taking charge. He has been pro- prietor of the Northwestern hotel at Ceo- dar Rapids, and is widely knownlto the raveling public. It is understood that Mr. John T, Baldwin is still to claim the ownership of the real estate, the new host taking the mnmum and management, thus succeeding M. Mr. Macklin was away at work, and his wife went down town on some shopping expe- dition, when the thieves took advantage bsence of the family and effected an entrance. They forced open the blinds, and then tearing away the vetting of the window, entered and ransacked the house pretty thoroughly. They get for their reward an open-faced silver watch and chain, a pin, pair of ear-rings, and between 850 and 800 in money.
