His Remains Found Stark and LT The details of an exceedingly wad affair reaches usfthrough The Harlan Tribune of yesterday, the facts being aboat as follows: Ieanc Cappy, an old man of seventy yeoars, loft his home in Grove town. ship, December 4, to visit his son-in- law, Frank Marco, in Polk townsl He remained there until Tuesday morning, December 7, when he started for home. He went to Irwin, which place he left about 4 o'clock p. m, in a bugey, with a Mr. Johnsen, of Defiance, Herode as far as A, P. Anderson’s, aboat three miles north- weat of Irwin, and, this being the nearest point on that road to his home, he got out and went into An. dersen’s house to warm, He soon left there, striklng scross the prairie for home. Last Tuenday, D:c. 14th, his family thinking he had probably made his visit out, went to Marco’s after him with a team, whon they were told that he had started home Dec, 7th, This naturally alarmed the commanlty and search was instituted following him a8 above described. From Anderson’s he was tracked in the snow, his course wandering about the prairle until his remains were found stark and etiff one hundred yarda south of Anderson's house. It will be remembered that D:com- ber 7th was the coldest day of the winter thus far, and men in the vigor of youth kept close to the fire. But Isaac Cappy is known the country over as a man of ordinary vitality and energy. Upon his person was found 87,50 in silver, No marks ot violence were visible, Consequently it is reasonable to suppose that he became bewlldered in the storm and wandered about until exhausted and chilled, The remains will be proserved five days to give time for all his children and other relatives to be present at the funeral, S g R S O New plushen received at' Harkneas, Orcutt & Co.'s.
