Since the advent of Tur Bee in republicans do not sapport Anderson they will be ostracised,’ the door of the party will be slammed in their faces and they can heroafter expect no political favors. The bosees thus threaten them, Thus republicans are down on one side and down on the other, and it demands of them more than the usual amount of self-reliant and intelligent manhood to cast their votes aright. Aside from the nomination of An- derson for congress, the rest of the re- publican ticket is a good one, and is entitled to hearty support, and it is to be hoped that those republicans who refuse to support Anderson will not in hot haste slaughter the rest of the ticket, a8 there are apon it worthy men, who ought to be elected. Let calm reason and clear conscience pre- vail. As for Anderson himself, he ought to be defeated, not because he is a republican, but be- cause he is an unfit man to be sent to Washington to represent that party.
