William Quinlan was on another of his periodic Saturday night sproes, and atan early hour yesterday morning was at the ugly, fighting point of his drunk. He struck one or two men, one of whom was an old man, with whom he picked a quarrel on some flimsy excuse. Officer Clough arrested Quinlan, searched him, and taking from him his pocket «nife and a flask of whisky, locked him up for » Sunday meditation, Mike Laden, arrested by Officors Sterling and Cusick for larceny, had his examination before Judge Ayles- worth Saturday, Tt wss claimed that Laden picked up and kept a pouch containing §8, which a man accident- ally dropped in a saloon on Broadway. Tho eviderice was hardly enough to convict, and Laden was given the benefit of the doubt and released. Among the plain drunks were Thomas Scott, arrested by Officer Morse.
