The experiment of clearing the gutters of Farnham strect, so that the water can run off, by using the waterworks, was pretty theroughly tried yesterday uf er- noon. It was a partial success only, but much was done toward as least making teaming more easy and the crossings some- what more passable, Three streams were on part of the time and were worked to the best advantage possihle.
