Counci Bluffs will take a grand boom in water- works. ‘‘Go wa dar, rainetorms; atop dat squarken, don't you har de engine talking 7" The supreme court has confirmed Judge Reed's decision, It will be re- membered that certain parties made \pplication before the district court for injunction to restrain the American Construction company from proceeding in the matter of supplying Council Bluffs with a ystem of water- worksasper their contract with the city council, To this applicationa domurrer was filed by the American Construc- tion company through their attorneys. After a hearing, Judge Reed sus. tained the demurrer and dismissed wpplication for injunction. To this ruling an exception was taken and the court, with the result as above stated. This settles the question, and the company will proceed at once with the projuct, and no doubt ere long we shall be supplied with an abundanee of pure water from the Missouri river.
