The eream of Council Bluffs society gathered last Friday evening at the residence of a well know wholesale dry goods merchant's, corner of Eighth street and First avenue. The occa- sion was a party given to young Mr. Arthur C. 8mith, by his mother, Mrs. M. E. Smith. The grounds looked the city on Saturday. The examination showed that the death of the woman was caused 1n the manner claimed by Dr. Stephens. The jury, consisting of Messrs, Frank alters, James Gil- bert, Guss. Fries, John Maus, M. H. Pavish, and Frank Wina, brought and boiler room attached 59x34. One hundred men are kept at work con- stantly. When completed it will be the most extensive grain elevator ever constructed in Towa, having a capacity of more than six hundred and fifty thousand bushels. BAD BOYS.
