Monday the three Masoniclodges of this city met at the lodge room in Masonic hall to inatall their officars elected and appointed for the ensuing year. Past Master Allen w-s chosen to act as grand master and Major Gustavus Stevenson to act as grand marshal, There was & large attendance and the installation ceremonies were, as usnal, very impressive. The masters instalied were: John H. Butler, of Oupital Lodge No. 3; Gustavus Ander- som, of Covert Lodge No. 11, and James B. Bruner, of St John’s Lodge No. 25. The latter is re-elected for a third term and the fon was chosen for an eppropriate recogaition of his faithful services and their appreciation by the crait. When =2ll the officers had been in- stalled, Major Stevenson, past master of St. Johu’s Lodge, stepped forward, and ina very mest and appropriate specch presented Mr. Bruner with a magnificent gold-headed cane, from the members of his lodge.
