The upper Missouri steambosts seem to be taking advantage of the present fine weather to prolong their stay in the up-river regions as long as possiblo. Owing to the lack of water navigation above Fort Buford, at the confluence of the Missouri and Yel- lowstone rivers, has been rendered impossible. The steamboats Butte, Helena, Terry and Batchelor will handlo the freight for poin‘s above Bismarck, on the Missouri, while the government supplies for the northern Sioux will bo taken to Buford by the boats and thenca wagoned by Indian freighters to Fort Keogh. The stesmboats, Pevinah, C. K.
