The fighting was hard and fast and Cline made the cham- pion box at top speed in every round. Leonard weighed 134 1-4 pounds and Cline 134 1-2. Each man landed hard jolts and fought so hard in' the exchanges as to repeatedly bring the spectators to their feet. The second round was the fastegt of the six. ~Cline repeatedly led and re- ceived a_cut over the eye for his trouble. - In a hard exchange both men landed heavily with rights and lefts, Cline hitting low. The last three rounds were not so fast as the first three. Clne con- stantly bored in and Leonard almost always met his rushes with left hand- ed joits. The champlom’s boxing ability began to tell and he landed more frequently than Cline, though the latter got in some stinging blows. Palace Bowling League. Mike Collins is determined to get Jess Willard to defend his title with his protege, Fred Fulton. November 15 the Minneapolis Boxing elub offered ‘Willard $30,000 to box Tulton ten rounds.
