George Clark were at Clark’s Corners the Fourth to at- tend the erection of a public signboard which was first erected by Mr. Clark’'s grandfather, Jonathan Ciark, July 4th, 1849. At the same time he erected a Liberty pole with points of compass and weathervane. . The poe blew down several years ago and was replaced by a new one by Allen Jewett: also through the efforts of Mr. Jewett the new signboard came into existence. It is an exaet copy of the original.
