SLATER HALL LECTURE COURSE Benefit of Red Cross Society. The people of Norwich are looking forward with interest to the appear- ance of Mies Marle Mayer at Slater hall Tuesday evening, March 27, in her effective Message of Oberammer- {gau. Rev. D. L. Ferris, D. D, rector fof Christ church, Rochester, N. Y., has isaid of her talk there that “the visit of Marie Mayer to Christ church was among its precious events. Her simple manner and beautiful Christian char- acter impart an unusual charm to her message further enhanced by her pic- tures. Every seat in our parish house was taken ‘when she spoke, and so tense was the interest shown that her story was told to an audience sitting ,in absolute silence. It was a bene- diction to have.her for_our guest, and 1 should count it a privilege to say anything which would lead others to plan to hear her message of Oberam- mergau.” WHIST AT NORWICH CLUB. Schedule of Services For the Last Day at First Baptist Church. The last things are very much in evidence in the revival campaign at the First Baptist church on the West Side. This afternoon at 2 o'clock the last Booster rehearsal will be held and tonight at 7.30 p. m. the last complete Booster programme will be given. All who have not heard the Booster boys and girls must take the privilege to- night and the programmes will be given no matter what the weather conditions are. The one special fea- ture of this programme tonight will be the interpretation of the sons, “Let the Lower Lights Be Burning,’ with Hghted candles. The auditorium will be darkened while this is given and it makes one of the prettiest effects that be seen. Many things on the two former programmes will be re- peated for the benefit of those who have not been able to be present. “Walt” will sing the sermon with the 2id of the Boosters. The sermon theme and song will be, “Oh, Papa Won't You Come and Hit the Trail.” Tomorrow, Sunday, will be the final and the closing day of this wonderful and stirring campaign on the West Side. The schedule of services is as follows: Praver for God’s blessing on the work of the day at 9.45 a .m. in the Sunday Schobl room. Sermon by the evangelist for everybody at 10.3 a. m. in_the main auditorium on the subject, “Hearing God’s Voice.” There is great anxiety on the part of the leaders that every member of the church should be present at this ser- vice and all others are most cordially invited. The Sunday school will meet at 12 m., when “Walt” will take part in this service. At 3 p. m. the evan- gelist will deliver his famous tem- perence sermon to men_end women on the subject, “Booze, Hell's Populator and Family Destroyer.” The older Booster boys and girls will occupy the platform and give a perperance pro- gramme At 6.30 p. m. in the Sun- day School room ‘Walt” will give his final talk to the young folks and at 7.30 p. m. the final sermon will be preached on the subject, “Prepare to Meet Thy God.” At all the services of this closing day opportunity will be given to those who have been helped to the thang-offering purse of the evangelist. Evangelist_Linden will leave Nor- wich early Monday for his home in Madison, Wisconsin where he will spend a little vacation perfod and start out again in the work. “Walf” will_head for his home early in the week, New Kensington, Penn., and will rejoin Evangelist Linden in the work that is being planned for the next three months in the state of Wiscon- sin.
