TO RENT —Cottage house No. 10 Kin- soul, thon too shouldst to thy knees Four Shows Today, at 1.30, 3.15, 6.45 and 8.45—Three Big Keith Acts and Triangle Photo Plays. There will be four complete shows at the Davis today and the bill is one of the finest vaudeville and photo play shows of the season. The feature attraction is the Five Little Sweet- hearts, five clever juvenile entertain- ers, who present a singing, dancing, and piano specialty that will please both young and old. There are two girls and three boys in the act and they are all finished performers. An- other act of merit is presented by the Schmettons, two clever European athletes and jugglers. The third act is Lucotty and Costeilo, a clever mu- sical team who play the violin and ac- cordion. This is an exceptional fine offering and one that will please everyone. In the photo plays the Triangle feature is The Marriage of Molly O, a delightful Irish story with Mae Marsh and Robert Harron star- red. The comedy to complete the show is called His Feathered Nest, and shows that funny comedian, Charles Murray in an excruicating two thousand feet of laughing film. Matinee today at 1.30 and 3.15. Exceptional Big Bill of Keith Vaude- ville and Triangle Photo Plays— New Concert Orchestra Under the Direction of A. Brazsau. half of next week the For the first management of this popular play- nouse announces a_ bill of Keith vau- deville and, Triangle photo plays that Sould not ‘be equalled anywhere for the exceptional low price of aamis- sion that is charged here. “The head- ine attraction is Mile. Rochez Mon- ey Music Hall vaudeville. the fun- afest trained animal act. There is no person on the stage but the monkevs, and they present a_show with a regn lar stage. They also have the mon- key orchestra. which plays through- out the performance. This is positive- 1y the most wonderful act ever scen in this theatr Another act that will be a big surprise as well as a sensa- tion is Haus Hanke, the world| famous pianist. Many pian have been heard on the audeville staze, but Hanke is without a douht the most remarkable of them all If you ‘are a music lover, don't fail to hear him while he plays at_the Davis. will present a specially selected pro- gramme headed by the brilliant emo- tional stage star, Emily Stevens, and the celebrated dramatic actor, Henrl Bergman, in the House of Tears. This is a sublime story and 4s produced in five wonderful acts. It tells how Robert Collingwood divorces his wife, Alice, and when free, marries Thornes, the correspondent. = Fifteen years later Collingwood, suddenly a bank- rupt, goes insane and in trylng to kill his daughter, he falls dead. In the meantime Thornes hac wWen a for- tune, He deserts his wife in the West, comes to New York and under an assumed name becomes successful. Fate causes him to meet his step mother to whom he becomes engaged. After a series of exciting adventures, mother #hd~daughter are united and Thornes in his half-crazed mood drives his automobile blindly through _the streets, ending by running off of a bridge when he is hurled to death. The Breed will also present on Monday and Tuesday the Metro Trav- elogue and Mr. ang Mrs. Sidney Drew in a very funny comedy, entitled, Jones’ Auto. Y. M. C. A. Service, At 5 p. m. tomorrow in the large store of Thayer building, on Franklin square, the local Y. M. C. A. will conduct an interesting service for men and women. In achlition to the usual good mu- sic by Swahn's orchestra, William Malone will favor the audience with a violin solo. ~ The address will be given by Rev. A. W. Burden, who will doubtless have a message full of in- terest to those who attend the ser- vice. The public generally is in- vited and the doors will be opened at 430 o'clock. BROOKLYN FAIR. Zxcellent Bill of Vaudeville and Pho- to Plays Today. Two very good acts of vaudeville, a Ive reel Paramount feature and the next to the last episode of the Mys- teries of Myra, go to make up a fine hour and three quarters’ entertain- ment at the Auditorfum today. Val- sntine Grant is very good in the lead- ing role of The Innocent Lie, a stir- ring five reel photoplay of adventure, presented by Danlel Frohman, and is produced by the Famous Players Film Co. The fourteenth episode of the Mysteries of Myra is as thrilling as usual, and is particularly interesting, as it draws so near_the close of this great film sto Doris Hilton is making a big hit with her song num- bers and the Boss Brothers are bring- ings down the house at every per- formance with their comedy acrobatic specialty. For next Monday and Tuesday the manzgement of the Auditorium have booked several unusually good attrac- tions. including on the vaudeville pro- gramme, Quinn and Laffey, one of the highest salaried double acts that ever plaved here. They come highly recommended from the biggest hous- es in the country. Another particular- Iy-good vaudeville number will be the rag violin playing of Alice Farrell, an. other big time specialty. On the picture programme Geraldine Farrar will be seen in the Jesse L. Lasky production of Marie Ross, on Monday and Tuesday. It is a won- derful production with most of the scenes laid in a little village in the southern po-t of Spain and includes in the cast Wallace Reld, who pay- ed opposite Miss Farrar in Carmen, and several others of the Carmen cast. TWO BROTHERS DIED IN EACH OTHER’S ARMS An Incident of European War Showing Deadly Work of Snipers. London, Sept. 15.—The death of two Dbrothers In each other's arms at the front, is related in private dispatches. They were Corporal Tom and Private Henry Hardwidge, of Ferndale, Rhond- da Valley, both members of a Welsh regiment. An officer writes: “The eld- est, Tom, was hit by a sniper's bullet and lay in the open under a scorch- ing sun, when Henry, at the risk of his life, hastened to him with a pail of drinking water. Just as he reached him and as he was offering the water, a sniper shot him. He clasped his brother as the latter rose to take the water and they died in each others arms.” A third brother remains in action in France. Suspended Judgments. Men who go into court expecting to be fined and then draw a sus- pended sentence may not have in- creased their respect for the law, fut their conviction as to the necessity of keeping the judge on the bench is enormously increased. — Toledo Blade.
