g5is ated eot; & mer, Minnette Barrett and Mrs. Lew- i!lfwn!fl‘.l the first of the ‘Napo- S0 e His Mate ‘wiil start of a series of ten comedy reels, one of which will:be shown here ev- |! ery Friday and Saturday and each one will feature two bizg monkies which are made up as human beings and act in a surprisingly clever manner throughout the entire picture. These comedies are something entirely new and away from everything else in mo- tion pictures. One really has to be seen to be appreciated. Tricks of Fate is the title of the two-reel Pathe drama which will also be shown. The Battle Cry of Peace Coming to the Davis. For a brief engagement of one week beginning next Monday there comes to the Davis theatre the most mar- velous film spectacle that has ever been shown in this country, The Bat- tle Cry of Peace or The Invasion of America. It deals with a subject that has been raised to the pinnacle of in- terest in the minds of all patriotic Americans through agitation that has for its champion the country’s chief executive, President Wilson, namely “preparedness. It takes the affirma- tive side of the question and handles it as no other medium could, for there is an utter absence of any evidence that it is propaganda in any form. There is a well connected story run- ning throughout the entire feature, a story of engrossing appeal which in the chain_of events inspires and ele- vates until at the very end the top of enthrallment is reached. Two performances will be given daily at 2 and 8 p. m. Seats will go cn sale next Friday. All seats re- served, Matinee at 2, 15¢ and 23c. Evening at 8, 25c, 35¢c and 50. ' A spe- cial enlarged orchestra of. 12 pieces will furnish the music. AT THE COLONIAL. The feature picture at the Colonial is The Human Cauldron, Vita- graph drama, in three parts, featur- ing Willlam Dunn and Mary Ander- son, produced by Harry Lambert. An- other good picture for todl.y is The Intruder, Essanay drama, in two parts, Harting Merwin’s Adventure, Selig drama, o This Way Out, Vi- tagraph comedy, ends today’s big pro- gram.
