On Saturday neen Victer Dupent finished his labers as everseer of the twisting, reeling, spooling and warp- ing departments of No. 8 mill, ef which he has had charge for the past 15 yvears. Monday he toek up the du- ties of overséer of spinning, twisting and winding at the No. 4 mill. Oliver Boucher succeeds Mr. Dupont at No. 3 mill. On Saturday evening & party eof Knee- | [To Camp about 30 hands employed in the twist- ing, reeling and spooling departments of No. 3 mill surprised their former overseer at his home and presented to him a handsome couch as a token of the esteem in which he is held by all who have worked with him and as a memento of many years service to- gether. Mr, Dupont, who was taken by sur- prise, in his reply expressed hls'grval pleasure at seing so many of his old hands present and thanked them heartily for the handsome gift.
