BIG JOHN DONOVAN i NABS MAN FOR THEFT Former Watchman at The Griswold Arrested in Gloucester, Mass. Patrick W Foley, formerly a watch- man at the Griswoid, Eastern Point, was arrested ‘Friday at Gloucester, Mass, on & warrant charging the lar- ceny of a brooch, valued at 3850 and the property of a guest at the hotel. Foley “was located in Gloncester by Detective Donovan of the hotel force, who brought about his arrest. Detective Donovan is on the Nor- wieh force as a supernumeraty apd 4 now at the Griswold. #The brooch was lost by Mrs. Isa- belle Bronson of New York on the alght of June 11. The hotel employes were asked to look for the valuable plece of jewelry that night. The fol- lowing morning Foley disappeared. Subsequently it was claimed that Foley had found the brooch. The mat- ter was brought to the attention of Prosecuting Attorney Warren B.
