Friday afternoon the Center school closed for the holidays. An excellent programme arranged by the teachers gave pleasure to many parents and friends of the children. Owing to the storm Tuesday the Christmas trec exercises planned for Christmas eve at the Baptist church were postponed until Thursday even- ing, when a crowd that filled the church was present. A very attrac- tive programme was carried out, giv- ing pleasure to everyone, a large tree yielding many gifts. Local Brevities.
