Atterpts to show that George Brickle was the agressor were made by attor- nevs for the defense in the New Lon- don police court trial on Friday morn- ing at which Thomas Dennison, the nezro stevedore, was presented on the charge of murdering Brickle in New Tondon last Monday night. Self-de- fense was the plea by the prisoner. Dennison was presented on charge of murder in the first desree, and Judge Coit found probable cause | for holding him without bail. Erne: McPherson, an important witness, who was referred to throughout the hear- ing as Blondy, failed to appear at the police court hearing. The state will try to find him. Alexander Howard was missing when court convened and a patrolman brought him into the gourt room.
