The bride has been an active mem- ber of the Haile club and is a popular young woman, while the groom s likewise highly esteemed by his many friends. - He is employved as accountant by the McCrumb-Howell company. Mr. and Mrs. Bowne left at noon for a wedding trip and on their return they will reside at No. 36 Spaulding street, Killed At New London. While gathering wood' on Tong Dock Monday night Mrs. Mary Moraity, 50 years old of New London, was struck and almost instantly killed by a train on the Central Vermont railroad. Bridgeport, Oct. 23.—In the common pleas. court here today. thirteen men, who were fuund in the Consolidated Social club May 21, when it was raid- ed, were fined $5 as frequenters. Their cases were appealed from the lower court, where nominal fines were im- posed. Today’s fines are of interest, inasmuch as theie are four or five more cases to come up of other clubs and this is the. first time in the city’s history that frequenters of clubs have been fined.
