The state - tuberculosis commission has been busy since the adjou ent of the legislature. and has devoted much time to perfecting plans for the new buildings which it is expected to start this fall. The commissioners have made a careful study of build- ings in other parts of the country and have co-operated with the architects with the idea of giving to the state the most practical and economical plans that it is possible to develop. In the early part of next week plans will be placed in the hands of the builders for estimates on the san- atoriums for New London and AMiddlesex county. The administra- tion and infirmary building to be built in each of these counties, means a building 300 feet long and 112 feet wide and composed of three depart- ments, one for administration, one for service, and the ward rooms for pa- tient: The administration and. ser- vice departments art to be two stories Ligh, the remainder of the building ccmprising the conmnectine ways and ward rooms one story in height. On the first floor of the administration building will be located a room for | the superintending doctor, with ex- amining room connecting.
