STAFFORD SPRINGS Fire in Sena Block Started Over Mov- ing Picture Booth—Damage by Smoke and Water. The fire company was called to the Sena block on) Main_ street about 4.20 o'clock Sunday morning and found a fire burning freely in the east side of the building. This portion of the building was occupied by the Bijou theater. Most of the fire was over the moving picture booth and it is thought it might have originated from crossed wires. The firemen did excellent work and had the fire under control within a few minutes after their arrival. In addition to the Bijou theater the build- ing is occupied by Mr. Sena as a gro- cery store, and_there is a_barber shop in the west end of the building. There is a hall upstairs in the rear of the building. and Mr. Sena uses the lower rear portion of the bullding as a resi- dence for himself and family. Jordan's music store is also on the sec- ond_ story. Besides the damage dome to the Bijou, Mr. Sena’s stock was con- siderabliy damaged from smoke and water. The lecture was illustrated by stere- opticon views, which Prof. Moore sent away and obtained. The Rev. B. D. Remington operated the stereopticon. The views were the best that have been seen here, many of them being colored views. | Lecture on India. There was « large crowd at the chapel Sunday evening attending the | lecture on India by Rev.
