The ‘removal of the toll from the bridge over the Niantic river by the purchase of it by the state has in- créaged the travel over that road. On the day it was taken over there were about twenty-five autos which erossed before the change was known, but thereafter there were one hundred or more who passed free. Carlos Ricker Has Big Lead in the Number of Points Secured—Many Visitors from Here. There was a time at Camp Browning, Groton Long Point, on Fri- day, when the athletic ‘events took place under the direction of Physical Director Peckham, assisted by General Secretary Merrill and C. H. Hobson. There were several visitors, including Dr. M. S. Kaufman, Nathan L. Bishop, President Amos A. Browning, James L. Case, Dr. J. H. Allen, Mrs. Clish and Miss' Clish. There were also many contributions sent down for the boys by their parents and friends. The events were all carried out ex- home after a visit of four weeks with relatives fn the vicinity of St. Hya- cinthe, Canada.
