Law! magm|HE Montana Leaguers are waging a tremen- #| dous battle with the unclean interests that have held the state in bondage so long. It is of the utmost importance that- farmers should know who has' the Nonpartisan in- dorsement for the legislature in their county. In the list below will be found the names of the League candidates for state senator and representative, together with the ticket on which they are running. In $ome coun- ties the Leaguers are on the Democratic ticket, and in others on the Republican. Voters will do well to tear out this page and carry it to the polls with them. There’s an ABSENT VOTER’S LAW in Montana. It is necessary that farmers who are not at home on elec- tion day should take advantage of this provision for cast- ing their ballot wherever they may be. In the northern part of the state the crops are burned up, and the farmers have. gone into the southern counties to work in the har- vest. There is a splendld League organization in this drouth-stricken region, and it is vital to the success of. the movement that the farmers who find themselves away from home on primary day, August 27, must make use of the ABSENT VOTER’S LAW. Members in all parts of the state are urged by the Montana League manager, D. C. Dorman, to get all strange men in their neighborhood to comply with the ABSENT VOTER’S LAW, and cast their ballots for the people’s cause. Many Leaguers in the harvest field may not -see the Leader. FARMERS WHO DO SEE IT SHOULD TELL THEIR NEIGHBORS AND FARM HANDS ABOUT THE TICKET, and explam that any citizen can vote by -mail. Go to the courthouse and get the absentee ballots.” The method is simple, and any employe of the courthouse will help you fulfill the requirement of good citizenship. Remember, the man who does not take enough interest in his country’s welfare to vote deserves no.better gov- ernment than he gets. IF YOU DON'T VOTE, YOU HAVE NO KICK COM-" ING, HOWEVER ROTTEN THE NEXT LEGISLATURE MIGHT BE. IF ALL THE LEAGUERS DO VOTE, THEY WON’'T HAVE TO KICK, FOR THE LEGISLATURE WILL BE A GOOD ONE—PICKED OUT BY THEMSELVES. Throughout history our forefathers have fought- for this very right to the ballot. Men have died bo_ga‘m the vote. Now that the weapon has been won, it is useless unless it is loaded. The way to load it is to be sure #nd go to the polls, knowmg your candidates and the ticket on which they are running.
