The Tammany Committee on Organization held a meeting yesterday aftersoon for the purpose of re- ceiving reports from the various district committees in relation to the election of delegates and alternates to represent the pariy im the State Convention at Syracuse, After the Chairman of the First Assembly District Committee had presented his report Mr. ‘Thomas F. Grady took the floor, and said that Messrs, Jeremiah Hartington, William P, Kirk and bimself had been duly electod delegates to the Convention, Mr. games Onver claimed that he and not Mr. Grady was entitiel to go as a delegate to Syra- cuse alopg with Kirk and Hartington. Mr, Grady was about to reply to Mr. Oliver, when Augustus Scheli, the chairman, decided that it w: hot the business of the Committee on Organization to settle disputes in the various districts. The whole question Would properly come betore the Committee on Contested Seats when the claims ot tne two sets of delegates could be considered and a report rendered, In afew remarks Comptroller Kelly told the mem- bers ol the committee that there was no doubt that the Yammany Hall delegates to the Convention would be admitted, ‘he auti-lammany party would thus once more have the doors of a democratic State Con- Yention closed against them, ‘Alter transacting some routine business the com- mittee adjourned, THE ANTL-LAMMANY CAMPAIGN. ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING OF THE CITY DEMOC- BACY IN THE NINETEENTH WARD—GOVER- NOR ROBINSON INDOLKSED. An enthusiastic mass meoting of tho clty democ- racy of the Twentieth Assembly district opposed to Tammany Hall was held last evening at Brevoort Hall, Fifty-fourth street, near Third avenue. The hali was well filled and across the rear end of the room a dense mass of men stood in uncomfortably closo array. Mr. Thomas Stavley occupiea the chair and introduced as the first speaker Mr. Jorome Buck, who said he believed the great crowd 0! earnest looking men betore him was a hurbinger of succoas for the cause of the city democracy, the foe of the one man power and the champion of the work- ing classes in the fall election of this year. George W. McLean spoke in the same strain and then Alfred . Ackert denounced Tammany Hall vigorously. Calls for “O’Brien? now became frequent and vig- orous, and the band in the gallery had to tune up its most soothing airs to restore that degree of serenity to the meeting as would permit tho reading of tho resolutions, Which were read by Edwara J. Creamer, and the principal ove of which was the followiag:— INDORSEMENT OF GOVERNOR ROBINSON. 1, That we cordially indorse the sdministration Kovinson as Governor of the State, aud that his efforts in behalf of pure and democratic governmens meet with oar warmest commendation, and that we heart- condemn the three Tammany who in the t Legislature voted with the § to wequit intendent of Insurance Smyth. after that gontioman een eonciusively pi gullty of malteasance in Mr. O'Brien, alter many calls, finally came forward and gaid he eever saw so many, So substantial and 0 earnest men before him.
