The prisoner was arraigned in the Tombs Police Court, where she gave the name of Mary Mulling Sho ‘the Army and Navy Club bas brought suit against | was held in $800 bail to answer, BO CHRISTIAN ROOS, ADDITIONAL CHARGES PREFERRED AGAINST THE ACGUSED BROKER, The examination in the case of Bo Christian Roos, on charges of embezzlement and grand larceny, was continued before Justice Duffy at the Tombs Police Court yesterday afternoon. Counsel for the prisoner called to the witness stand the bookkeoper, Moritz Isaac Jacobsen, who was sworn on the preceding day. He gave additional evidence to the effect that the ac- cused was absent from this city during August and September of the present year and thas the frm of Bo Christian Roos & Co, paid all bills aud drafts pro- sented to them up to October 1, with the exception of ‘the draft parchased by John Ahistrom, the complain- ant in the case, On cross-examination by counsel for the Swedish Society in this city the witnesss could pot state whether his employers had more than about four hundred crowns in casb to their credit with the house of Ash, Berger & Co., Stockholm, when Roos & Co, sold tho draft in question to Anlstrom. Counsel for the accused submitted letters and other documents tending to show that bis client had not overdrawn bis crodit with the Stockholm house indi- gated at the time ho sold the draft, and that in a few days after Mr, Ablstrom had purchased it Mr. Roos seut three drafts, amounting in the aggrogate to £275 sterling, on tue Umion Bunk of ndon, to satisfy the Orm of Ash, Berger & Co.
