A three hours’ mar- ket is generally only a brokers’ market—a mere Plaything for the hour, and affords no basis for ‘future calculations. It is a matter of littie mo- ment, therefore, what prices were attached to stocks, The chief ventures of the day were made 4n Pacific Mall, of which some 29,000 shares banged hands. A slight advance took place in early dealings, but it was iollowed by a reaction of from 4 to 3g percent, Tne stock advanced from #1 to 42, and finally sold at 41% 041%. Among he investment shares, Michigan Central advanced from 7834 to 79%. Delaware, Lackawanna and ‘Western was steady at 107%; a 107%.
