ILLINOIs.—It 18 estimated that the democrats have a net majority of 12,000 or 13,000 in the State, whicn will probably be increased to 20,000 om Superintenaent of Public In- struction Netter, who was the candidate both of the democrats and independents; but the opposition vote for State Treasurer, being divided between Gore (ind.) and Carrol (dem.), Ridgway (rep.) 18 doubtless elected. Cook county gives Carrol (dem.) for State Treasurer about 8,000 majority. Kansas.—Osborn, the republican candidate for Governor, is elected by about 10,000 majority over Cussy, democrat. Returns from eighty- two Legislative districts elect sixty repub- cans, ten reformers, nine democrata, two independent republicans, and one on local issues. Of the twenty districts not heard from fifteen will probably elect republicans. This will give the republicans about two-thirds of the lower House. Of the thirty-three Senators chosen the republicans elect twenty and the oppo- tion ten, three districts not yet being heard from. MIssoUBI.—Returus from the State are still very meagre, but enough is known to show that the democratic majority is not less than thirty thou- sand and may be over forty thousand. MICHIGAN.—Returns received from all but thir- teen small counties give Bagley, republican, for Governor, @ majority of 2,922, NEVADa.—The republicans concede the election of Bradley, democrat, for Governor, but by @ re- duced majority irom first estimates, PENNSYLVANIA.—Of the sixty-six counties in this State fifty-five oficially heard from give Latta 17,458 majority. Tois will be reduced about 12,000 by Philadelphia, leaving 6,000 jor Olmstead to overcome, for which he has the large | Fepublican counties of Delaware, Alleghany, Bradford, Luzerne ana Potter, If Latta | 1s elected at all it will be by @ bare majority. The State Senate will stand twenty-eight republicans to tweniy-two democrats; but the House will have from ten wo twelve demo cratie majority, securing on ® joint ballot a democratic majority and insuring the election of an opposition United States Senator, Tennesske.—The democratic majority for Gov- ernor will be between 40,000 and 45,000, The Legit lature stands—Senate, twenty-three democr and two republicans, with six or seven republi- cans tp the Lower House, SourH CaRoLiva.—The democratic estimate of the majority of Chamberlaine, republican, who is elected Governor, is about 6,000.
