He said he was called to arrest the prisoner on the evening of the 15th of August; he found him in a back room of the apartinents occupied by his family; his wife was lying on the floor, Mrs. Graham leaning over her; the oMcer was informed that the prisoner stabbed his wife; he asked Mianagan why he had done it; he did not answer for some time, but said she had driven him crazy; Mis Graham's daughter handed the officer the knife, which he brought to the station house.
