This new compilation of the Treasury De- partment will constitute an important addition to our literature on the tariff question, useful alike to the student, business man and legisla- tor, and is in itself the strongest possible argument against the ultra protectionists, In the year 1789 less than one hundred articles sre named in the tariff law.
