The testimony was not sufficient to convict, however, and the prisoner was discharged, VioLauxe Tux Excise Law.—Two cases were tried in the Special Sessions yesterday, wherein the prisoners were charged with violating the Excise law. In the first one Felix Drexler, keeper of a lager beer saloon in Tenth avenue, was charged by James Delaney with baving sold five giasses of lagor to a boy under fifteon years of ago, who drank the same in eald saloon on the 4th of July. Drexler was found guilty and fined $30, Charles Toll was complained of for not baving bis beer saloon, in Eleventh avenue, ‘effectually’? closed afier miapicht of Saturday, the 6th inst. Tho evidence being insuifl- cient to prove the charge Toll was acquitied, ALLEGED LARCENY OF Money,—Augusta Schedel, No. 116 Eldridge street, appeared before Justice Shandiey yesterday, and made @ complaint against Ann Moore, whom she charges with having stolen $240.
