THE PRESIDENCY. Fremont Meeting in Cheever’s Church. Strong Denunciation of Mr. Lincoln's Policy by Dr. Cheever. &e., A mootiog ip aupport of Jobn C Fremont for the next Presidency of the United States was held iast evening in De. Cheever's church. The meeting was by no moans & very large or cathusiastic one, ouly about half the seats ‘being occupied, and this principally by the fair ex. The pulpit was plentifully adorned with the national colors, while the whole inside of the church was thickly deco- Tated with mottoes. Shortly after eight o'clock the meeting was called to order by Mr. J..W. Alden, who nominated for Chairman Dr. H. A. Hart. ‘The choic then sung some sacred music SPERCH OF THE CHAIRMAN. Do you remember that fn the inaugural ad- ‘dress of Mr. Lincoln he declared, bars ding in the Mets Presence of slavery, face to tace, that be bad no right to interfere with it and no inelinstion to do so? Well, then, fhe mexe“act in the sequel is that we find that the aa: ministration (through its organ, Mr. Seward), When the ea broke out stated to the world that it ‘wag only a family quarrel, which would be easily avd perfectly adjusted in throe mouths. And now the President has refused to sign the bill parsed ‘by a large vote iv Congress to give a republican form of government to the rebellious States. Ho has refused to* igo that on the ground that Congress bad no constitu- tfonal right to pass it. Now, ladies and gentlemen, the question «rises, Can an Test man conscientiously vote ‘to re-viect that administration?
