Tho Board of County Canvassers mot yosterday after. goon, pursuant to adjournment, Supervisor Little in the chair, Tho lobby was oot go thronged as on previous days, probably owing to the storm. ‘Tho Presivint anuounced that the first business tn order was to receive the report of Supervisor Wiseman, Supervisor Wisoman handel in his report, and Super- visor Purby said before receiving the report it would be well to ascertain if they had authority. He osked whether there was any precedent for the proceeding. Supervisor Twaep considered the report in order, He was ready toact without a precedent on a question of right or wrong. After receiving the roport, it will still bo with the Board to act upon it as they think proper, Supervisor Brust asked if there was any difference be- tween the votes polled and tho record of the poll clerks. Supervisor Lirrtx considered this not to be the duty of the Board, but that they suould proceed to complete the canvass agreeable to the returns in their hands.
