They affirm that the daily rations of the troops consist only of four ounces of Bacon and seven of corn meal. Soldiers on a diet so @im cannot be expected to fight and thrive. The complaint alleges that Crocker applied to the plaintiffs to be supplied with gaslight and meter, and that Charles Ely became and was surety for tho payment by the said H. 8.
