There is much alarm among the whites of Crittenden county, Arkansas, opposite this city, in congequence of the discovery of a design on the part ef several hundred of the negroes of that county to simuitancous!y run away and present themselves to the federal commander for protection, There are about four thousand negroes io the county, and only a few hundred whites, some of whom are coming here, not deeming it safe to romain among the negroes.
