THE FORTY-SBVENTH REGIMENT. ‘This corps has its headquarters at the Odeon, in the Eastern District, and is under command of Colonel J. V. Meserole. Reeruiting is going on rapidly, and they will probably be ready for departure by Saturday next. There are now nearly six hundred membors attached ins, for the four companies necessary to complete the ‘regiment. Within twelve hours thirty Tecruits were enlisted at the central office. The whole number cannot even be guessed, as the recruiting officers are scattered all over the State. Hitzelberger. 4 TWENTY-THIRD REGIMENT. ‘This organization is rapidly filing, there being now nearly three hundred men attached to the corps. It has been recruited from the most respectable of our Brook- lyn-citizens, and when fully organized will no doubt make an efficient and useful corps. The headquarters of the Twenty-third is situated at the Arsenal, in Portland avenue, where recruits will be received. ‘The other re- oruiting depots aro at Montague Hall and South Brook- lyn, The uniform of the regiment will consist of gray, trimmed with black. No colonel has as yet been ap- pointed, but it is throught that Capt.
