Some four hundred bales of drills and shectings were sold yesterday , concentrating the stock in a few hands, and establishing the price at eleven cents all round for standard. Twenty delegates were present. Judge Cradiebaugh and Judge Bryson, of Carson, and J. Williams, of the ise newspaper, have announced themselves as can- idates for delegates to Congress from Nevada Territory. ‘Tho steamer Cortez, from Portland, Oregon, with dates to the 16th, brings a report that all the Indian tribes east of the Cascade mountains, including the Nez Perces, ap- peared to be preparing for war upon the whites, Miners wore leaving the Nez Perces region, and a number of mur- dors were reported. The Portland Times, commenting on the news, says that there are between 6,000 and 6,000 people in the Nez Percos section of the country, but they are poorly armed, And should tho different tribes of Indians join together and make war upon the whites, as it is reported they will, we fear, before arms and ammunition can reach them, they will be obliged to leave the mining region for the winter. nee SPECIAL NOTICES.
