The yachts which run to day are well-known {ust sailers, and have both won previous honors. The course they have selected is from Saudy Hook to « stake boat twenty miles to windward. This will give them an excellent opportunity of displaying their sailing powers at eea, and will possess tenfold more interest than any river or barbor race. The prize for which they contend is a piece of plate, valued at $260. The Rebecca unortunately met with an accident yos- terday, while coming down the North river, having stranded her shrouds; but, nevertheless, abe is all right again, quite ready for the race. It is lucky, perbape, that this untoward mishap occurred yesterday, for had it Dappened while under heavy sail at sea the regult might have proved disastrous to the yacht and her crew. Coremers’ Inquests. ‘THE BAXTER STREET MYSTERY SOLVED. ‘Thé investigation in the case of Juan B. Gastarino, the ‘Spaniard who was supposed to have been stabbed and murdered at a groggery in Baxter street about a year ago, was resumed yesterday at Bellevue Hospital, by Co- roner Jackman. The body of deceased, which had pre. viously been removed from Calvary Cemetery, was care- fully examined by Drs. Finnell, Edwards, Beach, Weltje and Ferguson, and at the conclusion of the post mortem examination, the following report was presented to the Coroner:— We, the undersigned, having been requested by Coroner Jackman to examine tho body of Juan B. Gustarino, re. cently disinterred from Calvary Cemetery, beg leave to present the following report:—The coffin ‘undergone very little change. It was slightly pressed on the sides and top. On removing the lid the garments surrounding the body were in some places ed, while at other points they were stained black pee in contact with the decomposing tissue. Upon removing the cotton which filled the mouth {t was observed that there were but two molar teeth in the upper jaw, which were filled with gold.
