Perrit. ‘The Secretary read the minutes of the previous meat fag, whizh were unanimously approved. NEW MEMPERS, The following gentlemen, nominated at the June meet, wg, were wuanimoutly elected members of the Chamber:— Jesep 8. Allen, Benjamin Babcock, Smith Ely, Jr.; Josiah Jox, Oliver H. P. Noyes, George W. Pratt, A. Lines Van Baaroom, David Wagstaff, COMMITTEE OP ARBITRATION. ho President announced that the next business was the clection, by ballot, of a member of the Committee @f Arbitration, and nominated Benjamin H. Field. A yote was taken by ballot, and Mr. Field was unanimoosly elect- ed a member of the committee. ‘The Presipest announced that he had received a letter from br. Walsh, of Philadelphia, on the subject of a com- manication received by the Chamber of Commerce o Philadelpbia, and by the Chamber at New York, from th» Natioval Association of London and Liverpool, for the from the jon of social science, inviting deputations y nee cities to the Conveotion to be held in fw September next, for the purpose of fixing a m fect and equitable ternational system of uniform a fe marine insurances.
