The United Siates steam sloop Pawnee, built at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, under the superintendence of Mr. Griffith, the contractor, started the 18th inst. on a week's trial trip. She carries four eleven inch Dahlgr guns; each gun requires for a single discharge fifteen Poms ot powder, and the shell propelled weighs one uundred and thirty pounds. The Pawnee will return to Philadelphia some time next week, when it is expected she will receive orders for the Mediterranean.
