At Mr. Brady's galiory on Breadway there are at pre- sent exhibiting several admirably executed groups of the personnel of tho Japanese Embassy. They havs beoa taken under Mr, Brady’s own supervision, and are the only authentic portraits that have as yet been obtained of our Asiatis visiters. They are remarkable for their pre cision and cloarness—qualitics not always secure’ from the camera. As werks of art and as faithful likenesses they are equally entitled to adm tration. Amongwt the collection of photographic tableaux formed by Mr. Brady in conneotion with these remarkable stran- gers, is the scene in the Navy Yard at Washington so graphically described by one of our correspondents. Here the effect is as real as if the scone presented itself directly to the eye of the spectator. Evory trait in the countemances of the chiefs of the Embassy can be dis- tinctly traced, and a person skilled im physiognomy can study from the picture the mental characteristics of cach. ‘To those who may not have an opportunity of seeing our Oriental visiters, these photographs will be in the highest degree interesting. As records of the first politioal mis- sion accredited by the Japanese government to another nation, they possess a value that can hardly be over-cst!- mated. —— ‘Woerm: Garpey.—‘Ia Juive’’ will be given this even. tng for the last time, and the benefit of O.
