Mr. Jackson, a lawyer of Georgia, who has been spe- cially retained to prosecute the slaver Wandeeer, arrived in this city with a warrant for the arrest of Capt. J. Egbert Farnham. The worrant was granted on the affidavit of of Mr. G. Boston, Coliector of the port of Savanaah, Geor- gia, to the elect thut J. Egbert Farnham, of the yucht Wanderer, aud a citizen of the United States, bad forcibly detained a number of negroes on board the gaid vessel, in May, 1859, and that he Janded a uamber of them on Jdeky! Island} in the District of Georgia, with intent to sell them as slaves, and that karnham is a pirate, according to the act of Congress passed in 1820, On Friday evening, Marshal Rynders and one of his de- puties, Louis DeAngelis, succeeded in urresting Captain Farnham on the werrant, w was eudorsed oy Judge Retts.
