During the past week the retail trade at Washington Market was quite brisk. In the moat trade we have nothing new to note, except that the prices for good quali- ties of meat are high, with every appearance of a continu- ‘ance for sometime to come. It thegame trado English snipo aro geMing at 62c. per pair; English yellow legs at $2 50 per dozen; wild pigoens, per dozen, $1 75; squads, per pair, 0c. The buiter trade ia very brisk, and the supplies quite large; the best Orange county is sold at 252. per und; other qualities at lower prices. The receipts for the st week amounted t0 12, 241 packages. Eggs appear to becay, yet the retail dealers appear to havo mado a standard price, viz: sixteen for 25c. The receipts for the woek are 3,553 barreis. Strawberries are quite plenty. ‘Those from the South reached New York in such a wilted condition for the past few weeks that the arrivals from that |. quarter are quite light. The principal supply for this market is from Baltimore, and some very nice ones frem New Jersey; they retail ’at from 38c. to 50c. per box. Charleston new potatoes come to this market quite brisk. ‘The receipts this week amounted to 1,161 barreis, and are selling at $3 50 per barrel. Cnoice Bermudas are worth $5 por barrel. New Orloans onioas are worth $5 50 per barrel; Bermuda do., ghoice, $6 per barrel. Bermuda tomatees, por quart, $1 2 Green snap beans from Charleston, $1 per bushel.
